University funding

H.E leaders have branded the idea to link funding with course quality as “damaging”.

The Government says that funds will be drawn away from institutions who fail to meet targets and to boost courses that  “meet strategic skills needs”.

Speculation is abound, with people saying that it could represent a step towards the US university system.

  1. Yknow how much you pay in the US to go to uni? Tens. Of. Thousands. That is many dollars. In the UK university is cheaper than going to a private school…

  2. It is true. It costs $50k a year approx to attend a top 10 private US university. Bear in mind though, that their system is multi tiered, they don’t simply have “universities”. It’s divided into all sorts of sections which decide funding and tuition costs…
